Malcolm misses Highbury more than he can express despite only managing to visit fewer times than he's been to the Emirates.
Last season was a strange one for Arsenal fans. On the one hand, they secured Champions League qualification yet again and lifted their first trophy in 9 long years. An unqualified success, surely? Well, not exactly, given that the Gunners actually topped the Premier League for long spells during the campaign and eventually fell away to fourth place. It left something of a ‘could do better’ feel to the season.
To say Joel Campbell is on a rollercoaster ride at the moment would be an understatement. He’s been cast off to the obscurity of the Greek Superleague before flying to Brazil, putting in some stunning performances, and becoming the name on every Gooners lips.
It’s fair to say the rise of Campbell in the last few months has been astronomical. He first raised eyebrows back in February with a magnificent strike at the Karaiskakis Stadium, knocking the ball effortlessly by Michael Carrick before stroking the ball into the bottom corner. An effort he replicated in Fortaleza to help dispatch the Uruguayans.
It has been almost a week since our FA Cup triumph and the majority of Arsenal supporters are still riding high. In the main, 2013/14 can be considered a very successful season for Arsenal especially after 9 barren years. However, it is understandable that there are a few who are a little saddened it wasn't more as we promised so much for so long in the league.
