Arsenal sign a striker!

HOLD. THE. PHONE! Arsenal have signed a striker. Sound the bells!!

Wait. What? Seriously? Ah, man.

The striker Arsenal have signed is Takuma Asano from Japanese side Sanfrecce Hiroshima. Takuma is a highly rated 21 year old striker and considered by Wenger to be one for the future.

This isn't the news Arsenal fans were hoping for and given our delicate nature at the moment, having been rejected by someone who looks like they work evening shifts at Wetherspoon's and weekends at Sports Direct whilst still collecting dole money, it might have been better for the club to temper the announcement. As much as they have claimed he is one for the future the very announcement on the front page and accompanying collateral makes it easy for fans to think that is our business concluded.

There is no way Takuma Asuno is real or signing for us. His surname is literally Arsenal in a Japanese accent.

Hopefully Arsenal do more business over the next few weeks and Asano develops into the player Wenger believes he can be.

Welcome to Arsenal, Takuma.
