Match Review: Arsenal 2 Tottenham 0 - FA Cup 04.01.14

My first FA Cup review and what could be sweeter than reviewing a good squashing of the Spuds? The culmination of a run of 5 games over the last 12 days and despite the physical challenge it presented, we’ve come through it with flying colours. A draw and three wins in the Premier League, rounded off with a flourish by dismissing our noisy neighbours from the Cup. After a lot of build up and talk before the game, particularly from the Sp*rs camp, but in the end, it was a breeze for the Gunners and we strolled into the fourth round.

Match Review: Arsenal 2 Cardiff 0 - Premier League 01.01.14

Happy New Year everybody! My first match review of 2014 and thankfully, I’m reviewing a win. Just. We left it very late to snatch the points from a stubborn Cardiff side, who we were struggling to break down. It was a huge win too; City beat Swansea in the early kick off, meaning that nothing but a win would see us return to the top. On paper it looked like we should beat them comfortably, but it proved a grueling match in poor conditions. But, thankfully, we managed to scrape the points and when you’re chasing the title, that’s what you need to do.

Match Review: Newcastle 0 Arsenal 1 - Premier League 29.12.13

The victory against Newcastle is probably the dictionary definition of grinding out a result. With City having scraped a win against Palace the day before and Chelsea hosting Liverpool following our game, three points were very much needed. A win would also mean we would finish 2013 top of the Premier League, something that not many would have predicted.
