Match Review: Dortmund 0-1 Arsenal - Champions League 06.11.13

Another magical European night to add to our collection. Only time will tell where this one ranks alongside the Italian Job and the 1-0 in the Bernabéu, but it's surely up there with the best. Dortmund are most certainly a top team, the type the pundits have been waiting for us to play and falter against.

Having lost at home, it was almost expected that we'd be bested again and that the most we could hope for was a point. I, along with quite a few others, were of a mind that a draw wouldn't be a bad result at all, but to go there and win one nil is an incredible achievement. Match Review: Arsenal 2 Liverpool 0 - Premier League 2.11.13

What a brilliant win. A lot has been made of this difficult run of fixtures and after we lost the first of them in midweek, there was some suggestion that Arsenal might be about to be found out. Arsenal are out of the Capital One Cup before the quarter-finals for the first time since 2002, going down in a depressingly flat game at the Emirates. I’m not going to write a lot about this one, simply because there’s not much worth writing about. To be honest, I’m finding it hard to even muster any disappointment. I couldn’t see us winning, simply because Chelsea have a reserve team that would make a decent run at the title and we....don’t.

It’s not a major criticism, although it does show that the squad is a little thin, but if a team wants to spend around £150m on a backup team to win the COC then good luck to them. Chelsea are almost certain to win it with a team like that and not many teams, bar City, can compete with that sort of squad depth.
