Overall report of the fan club meeting in April

Other Questions

These discussions took place after all those speeches and these questions were being asked in the matter of five minutes.

Connor Kielty, Red Member Representative

  • Is there a specific length of time before a red member can become a silver member and is there a way of a red member being able to check how much longer they have to wait or where they are on the list to progress?

Club representative said that there is no fixed period and it all depends on how many Silver members quit, but in fact they are not refused [might not be refused at all either]. Currently there are 26 thousand silver members and 121 thousand red members.

  • Will there be a members' 5-a side competition this summer at the Emirates?

Quickly replied: "There won't be a competition like that this summer".

Daren Nathan, Family Enclosure Representative

  • Why is the Family Enclosure unable to use Ticket Exchange and will this change?

It's complicated because the system was built so that they should combine 2 tickets for a child with a Junior Gunner membership, and a large gold/silver membership together.

Lesley Williams, Shareholder

  • How is the lottery going ? Are there any plans to have ticket stations at the ground as to use a credit card incurs a surcharge?

The lottery has been going pretty well. There were winners and so far all have been Arsenal fans, as they [winning fans] smile for their sweet success. At the same time they have given good amount of the money for charitable causes.

  • Name plaques/stones on Armoury Square where the issues with the printing coming off has still not been resolved

My wife complains about it every time - there have been complaints about the delays and the problems regarding that but for now, we've never had the issues fixed. Adds that they've been committed but also mentioned that the companies that support this are mostly foreign companies and it's their job. Adds up that the situation is in a poor condition and that the club are working and giving their best to fix it.

Tony Bernhard-Grout, REDaction Representative

  • Did the Club have any success in discovering the culprits who set off flares at the Liverpool and two Everton games and if so what was their punishment?

Yes, the police caught one of Everton's fans, but it was not the responsibility of the club to do whatever needed to catch them but as you said they keep going with the very detailed and awful behavior. We will assure the clubs and we will account the fans of the respective clubs that are in our league that those kind of actions won't be tolerated in the future and that the allocation will be shortened in the future. As an indicator for that, Ivan gave us few examples: we gave Everton, Liverpool and Tottenham smaller allocation due to the fear of an uncontrolled behavior occurring during the match instead of the 15% (~ 9000) that should be given if we are looking at the rules.
