Does Arsenal Need Cesc Fabregas?
Goalkeeper
Fabianski leaving Arsenal for first team football was something we all expected, and with him and Viviano (end of loan spell) leaving the club, a back up goalkeeper to Woj is vital. Mandanda? Apparently Arsenal's first choice in the transfer market to be a back up to Szczesny, the French stopper would be an ideal choice to replace Fabianksi as he can pull off some spectacular saves and has the ability to be a very good back up choice to our Polish first choice.
Midfielder
A defensive minded midfielder that can boss about his teammates and command a certain area of the pitch is something we have been missing for many years now and with this transfer window set to be Arsenal's biggest in their history, we, the Arsenal fans, are expectant of Wenger and we all want to see a good holding midfielder come into the club as Arteta is getting on a bit and lacks the legs and power to control the midfield from deep, as well as Flamini, although he has that 'bite' about him that we all love to see. Lars Bender? Morgan Schneiderlin? Just two examples of players who could do the job we need them to, given the chance. Although he won't be available to take away from PSG, a player like Thiago Motta would be a perfect fit. He is sensible, gets the ball away from danger and reads the play very well, as well as being able to set up an attack for his team from deep in his own half.
