Match Review: Chelsea 6 Arsenal 0 - Premier League 22.03.14

I’m not going to spend much of my time on this game. I’ve just wasted 90 mins watching the team I love get stuffed buy the chavs and quite frankly, I feel sick. We’ve been on the end of some thrashings in recent years; 8-2, 6-3, 5-1, but this is hands down the worst. The 8-2 was down to a poor transfer window and a ton of injuries, the 6-3 was naïvety and we at least scored three. The Liverpool result was horrible, but this takes the biscuit. Wenger’s 1000th game, for me, his worst.

Match Review: Sp*rs 0 Arsenal 1 - Premier League 16.03.14

The morning after a North London Derby victory is always immensely sweet. The satisfaction of putting our less illustrious neighbours in their place is one that never dulls, no matter how many times you experience it. However, as satisfying as the aftermath is, the build up and event itself is quite often torturous. There are times when we hit our straps and deliver a proper thrashing to the spuds, but the nature of a derby means that, more often than not, there’s not the slightest element of certainty about them. Sunday’s was no exception and although the victory and bragging rights are ours, it was more than a little dicy at times.

Match Review: FC Bayern 1 Arsenal 1 - Champions League - 11.03.14

In the end, it was mission impossible for us. As expected, the deficit was too great and the opposition too strong to be surmounted. But we were far from embarrassed over the two legs and the team and fans can take heart in seeing the quality we’re able to produce when faced with a team that has made a mockery of most of their opponents. With some huge games coming up, the confidence should come from what we know we can produce.
