Match Review: Everton 3 Arsenal 0 - Premier League - 06.04.14

Apologies for how long this blog has taken. It’s taken me a while to get my thoughts together on the issues our latest defeat has prevented. A big moment in Arsenal’s history is approaching. The humiliation we endured at Goodison Park felt like a turning point. Our performances over the last month or so have been nothing short of calamitous and our humbling by Everton is the latest in a series of humbling games for the club. We shouldn’t be losing to Everton at all, let alone like we did on Sunday. The manner of this defeat seems to have brought about the most serious questioning of our manager so far. Is it time for Arsene Wenger to go?

Match Review: Arsenal 1 Man City 1 - Premier League - 29.03.14

After two very damaging results in the last week, the visit of Man City to the Emirates was not one many were keen on. Given our performance in the ‘big’ games this season, you could forgive most fans for being more than a little pessimistic about our prospects of getting a result. However, the team dug in and produced a much improved performance. I’d have bitten your arm off for a point at the start of the game, so all in all I’m pretty happy with what the team achieved.

Match Review: Arsenal 2 Swansea 2 - Premier League 25.03.14

Arsenal’s title hopes have all but evaporated following a dismal draw against Swansea. A cold tuesday night at the Emirates stadium saw a tentative performance and a damaging result for the Gunners. The scars of Saturday’s mauling at Chelsea showed very clearly as we laboured to break down a stubborn Swansea defence. Suddenly our season is teetering on the brink of disaster and we face a fight to secure our involvement in next season’s Champions League.
