According to the Mirror İlkay Gündoğan has been handed a contract ulitmatum by Dortmund who want him to extend his beyond his remaining 18 months as they don't want to go into the summer with only a year remaining. Wenger has twice in the past been close to signing Gündoğan in the past and if he is available this January then he will surely be interested. Ilkay is coming off the back of a long lay-off and has concerns over an ongoing injury so he is right up Arsenal's street...
