The middle aged man walked into the living room in his casual home clothes. The fireplace is already lit. "Who lit the fire?" he wonders since it was always his duty to light the wood to spread the warmth. As he comes closer he sees the young master of the house sitting cross legged on the giant luxury chair with his hands rested on his knees and his face resting on the clenched fists. The kid barely had any expression on his face. His eyes were dull, devoid of any emotion and were staring into nothingness. Although they looked into the flames it felt like they were wandering in darkness.

The variety of opinions we have at Arsenal is something I really admire, but at the season beginning it really annoyed me to see discussions going on between fan factions in which the goal seemed to be to shout down others into agreeing with your opinion.
Arsenal's record against top teams this season encouragingly juxtaposes the disastrous record of last year - with three wins and two draws from six big matches so far. With just the two wins from ten attempts last season against these same teams, Arsenal have seemingly learned the lessons of the past and that has been demonstrated with some superbly worked wins away at Manchester United in the FA Cup quarter final, away at Manchester City and at home against Liverpool in the Premier League.
When Arsenal drew Monaco most fans were optimistic that for the first time in four years Arsenal could reach the quarter finals of the UEFA Champions League. No Bayern or Barcelona blocking our way this time. Arsenal had to play AS Monaco with the first leg at home. Our route to the quarter final looked straightforward but that's not how it worked out as Arsenal produced their worst performance of the season.
